Theyre real in the sense they are a known phenomenon affecting millions and likely always will as long as people exist, but they are not real in the sense of being actual voices of actual people. How can we know? Voices don’t communicate telepathically in nature.

Hey @Rainstorm - I moved this to the unusual beliefs category.

Most schizophrenics are well known to hear voices in their heads, they are auditory hallucinations. The mental illness causes this. They are not “real” in the sense that they are actual humans saying things to you. They are hallucinations.
