My dad is getting upset at me these days. I’m not feeling so well, sometimes I’m disoriented and I have someone living inside me not allowing me to function. How do I not make it escalate, my relationship with my step-dad? He is oftentimes mad at me. ---

For example, he said I left the cooler door open again which I did, and that I’m gaining weight because I drank a little peach makeoli and that it interferes with my meds. All of a sudden, he’s critiquing me on my eating, saying I eat unladylike but I have a feeling of someone in my body moving my hands and not being able to chew my food properly. ---

Your dad is taking his frustrations out on you. It’s unkind, unhelpful, and unacceptable. I’m sorry you’re dealing with that. I do think you need to talk to your dr about the other stuff though. ---

If you’re over 18 years old, you had better get independent financially and leave your step-father. Keeping connected with your mother is helpful. that is my advice and you may take it as references. best wishes. ---

My dad yells at me every day about something. You don’t go a day without it. So I get where you’re coming from. Hope that everything works out. I bought a house with my dad so I can’t get out of it but believe me I would move if I could it gets tiring.
