Ok then art is evrything

just cause you make money off your art doesnt mean its not art. By that logic then musicians who are famous arent artists? just becuase the music business exists? You apply your art skills to marketing. its an artform.

no. art is art. business is business etc. but businesses hire artist to make nice designs for their ads etc. how abotu fashion? you sell clothes… does that mean fashion designers arent artists?

Ok i took very bad design courses

I produce and make my own music, but i could just press a button and have music artificially made for me.

I enjoy making the music and i enjoy playing the instruments. I create art! I love doing it.

I wont make any money from it though, but what is the point in playing any instrument if a robot can play it better?

Well, I am alive. I am not a robot. I am sentient. I have flaws. I am human. I am an artist.

I spend time and effort in my art.

Or I could just press a button and have ‘something’ made for me.

The motivation for most people is to make money. Everything monetized. Everything they do to become famous and with it the money that it brings.

If that is your goal then perhaps do something boring like write code or work in a factory or something. Learn a trade that a ‘robot’ can’t replace.

I am very lucky. I have time on my hands and can do my hobby. My beneftis are very generous to afford me my hobby.

I do my art because I love it.

I imagine if i did it as a job I wouldn’t like it anymore.

It seems to me that @Raptor_Z has cognitive dissonance where he wants to be an artist but the real motivation is to become rich.

And that is in everything you do. That is why you do anything.

And that motivation will only bring you unhappiness, unfortunately.

I can do chicken scratches and call it art and nobody will like it

Well do you like doing chicken scratches?who cares if anybody likes it or not?

If you enjoy doing chicken scratches, do it for yourself. Not others…

But again you are looking at art with the sole preoccupation of making money.

Anf that will bring you unhappiness…

So you think money is evil and bad

That is your presumption of me. It is not what i said.

Let us look at it from another angle, perhaps.

Why do you want to be rich?

So you can buy everything under the sun?

The notion that money can buy you happiness is a myth. The capitalist dream and the biggest lie.

You have been sold this ‘dream’ with all its glitz and glamour. All the adverts and movies with the same underlying principle. You can’t look at any media and not be bombarded with it. You can’t escape it.

I am telling you, it is not what it is you think it is.

Bezos is not happy. Musk is not happy etc. They are motivated by power and greed and this too can never be satiated. And although they have many lifetimes of wealth they still want more.

But the propaganda is strong. The pull is strong. The lie is all encompassing.

Lift the curtain. Peel back your layers. See how we have all been indoctrinated and start to see the world in another way.

Connection is what you miss. And money won’t ever replace that.

Yes i need gf… but its impossible without money to find something you like

Then you are looking in the wrong place.

Most women have had the same indoctrination as you (or I).

BUT, to find a woman not motivated by money or status..

Be an artist. Be poor if the situation arises. But in artist circles you may find that gem.

In likeminded people.

But you are looking at the world as you see yourself; and that is money motivated. So , of course you only see females who, like yourself are money motivated.

what do you think about gaming maybe i quit art and plqy games

Gaming is exactly what that video you posted about warned us about.

All gaming is a dopamine fix. And will drain you of your self worth and actual creativity.

Same as any drug. A variance of social media.

Ultimately unfulfilling and deadening.

Create art dude. At least it is you.

The idea of being a gaming pro is long past. All the best players are in their teens and early twenties. Then they burn out.

And same again, you are motivated by the wealth that being a pro gamer promises.

That is why you want to do it, is it not?

If you want to make money then i am sure there are other ideas and methods to do so, but very few people make it, which is why most people work under others.

well, nothing is truly original…

Everything that one thinks either comes ther past and is built on, or is built into one genetically and also comes for the past.

There is no escaping that.

Nothing in this world is truly original, but you can add your own unique style.

Build your cv and enter your art into some art shows. Call to artist, outdoor galleries. My art is hanging up on peach tree street in Atlanta, GA just gotta find some opportunities. Also find out if there is a guild or community you can join. We have one here in my city. We have parties all the time, scholarships to become a creative entrepreneur and networking opportunities. But the things about all of this is…. I have a day job still.

There’s also residencies that pay for your food and board and pay a stipend but they are only 6months to a year.
