Social security Dr

I’ve told you my bf is sz and bipolar I signed him up for disability last month. He got a letter to see one of their drs next week. I’m worried it will go bad he doesn’t understand things well enough to describe his symptoms.
Anyone else go to their dr

if he can show hospitalizations for sz he will be given full disability by this upcoming doctor…that’s how it worked for me…no attourneys needed for me…but I had three hospitalizations in one year too…

I don’t think I have no papers except for 1 hospital

it should be attainable info by the doctor if you can remember any other hospitals you don’t have papers for…no biggy…have him describe one of his delusions.

Would it help if you went with him, if it’s allowed, and you could maybe describe his symptoms and situation better? My parents used to go with me to the social security office all the time and sat in on my hearing before a judge to determine if I should get SSDI.

He can sign release of information over to the disability dr so they can obtain his records. When you have a lawyer they do this for you and they speak for you quite a bit too.
You don’t have to pay a lawyer unless you win and then they only receive a percentage of your backpay, nothing more. It’s the law in the US. I highly recommend hiring an attorney who specializes in disability cases
