Do they really do what they say they do? They’re supposed to relieve stress but I have my doubts. Does anyone have one and does it noticeably relieve stress? I had one and I couldn’t tell, in fact it actually caused stress making my bed every morning with a 25 pound blanket that kept slipping around in the duvet.

I lost weight so I got rid of my 25 pounder and bought a new 20 pounder and a new duvet. Except I couldn’t find the right size anywhere to fit my bed so I bought a queen size weighted blanket that would have hung way over the sides of my bed. Then I read that the duvet I bought for it has 16 ties so I can tie the blanket inside so it doesn’t slip around. That would have caused stress very two weeks tying down a queen size blanket, it would have been hard.

And I donated my old blanket to GoodWill about three weeks ago and I’ve just been sleeping under a comforter ever since and I’ve been sleeping great and it’s twice as easy to make my bed in the morning. Does anyone have a weighted blanket and does it ease stress for you? I really couldn’t tell if it was less stressful sleeping under a weighted blanket so I returned the new one I bought to amazon.

@77nick77

I have not had a weighted blanket per se, but quilts are pretty heavy usually and if I feel stressed I fold the queen size quilt in half, lie down and pull the quilt over me like that. For me it’s heavy enough and it does help me calm down. I made myself a queen size quilt about a year ago

I sleep a lot better if I have a little weight over me at night. Don’t have weighted blanket, but I sleep with two duvets on top of each other and a heavy blanket when I can. Ofcourse when it’s too hot that’s not a option.

My dad bought one for my niece. I have tried it and honestly, my opinion is they are a bit smothering. Just my experience.

I have one that I used for awhile, but it was too small. It was comfy, though. Not sure if it helped with anxiety/stress

I had one but the weight made it hard for me to change positions when sleeping, and it kind of felt suffocating. I gave it to an autistic friend of mine and he absolutely loves it.

I love my blanket. It helps me sleep more deeply. It is hot, so I move it half on top of me and stick my feet out.

I have one. It doesn’t make much difference.
