I bought some fettuccine noodles and they were taking forever to cook I cooked them for like 25 minutes and then I thought they were finally done but while I was eating them some of the noodles were a bit chewy and now my stomach hurts… am I gonna be ok?

My stomach is just a little uncomfortable but I’m drinking a soda and it’s helping
maybe just the texture and the uncookness is just making you feel a bit queezy. like as in its not food poisoning or anything just was kinda gross? Do you usually wait for the water to be boiling before adding the noodles? i find that helps. like if you put the pasta in while the water is not boiling they can come up soggy and uncooked cause they rehydrate and soak up a bunch of water but dont actually reach temperature. i learned that the hard way once lol. When i was homeless i bought a box of macaroni thinking i could just rehydrate the noodles and eat it without boiling water lol i always thought the noodles were cooked and you just had to rehydrate them. its not its dehydrated raw dough right… anyways hope your feeling ok man
It shouldn’t have taken 25 minutes, it should have taken 9-12 minutes. You overcooked them. Like @POET says, boil the water and stick the noodles in and cook them according to the package directions. I would bet good money the package says boil them from 9-12 minutes. I doubt eating overcooked noodles is going to make you really sick. Cooking them too long just affects the texture as you found out.
But they still tasted chewy at 12 minutes that’s why I cooked them longer
9-12 minutes. Maybe they were ready at the nine minute mark. Follow the package instructions next time and when the minimum time comes eat a few noodles to test them out. They should be al dente at 9 minutes and if you test them and they are the right consistency and texture quit cooking them. Once you hit the 9 minute mark test them every 40 seconds until they’re the right texture. I am 100% sure you don’t cook fettuccine noodles more than 15 minutes and that’s probably too long.
