I’ve been stable for years of mania since haldol idk is there a chance that I’ll never go manic or psychotic again IF I TAKE MY MEDS
Just a random thought ive been wondering if I continue with my meds I have a feeling I’ll never go back to the hospital again

It could be good to avoid hospital by taking your meds

It’s close to 12 years since I was last in hospital. I’ve been taking my meds all that time.
I hope my meds (Abilify) don’t stop working, as there’s always a danger of that.
Do you have any backup plan if haldol stops working?

That’s good to hear.
My backup plan is to try cariprazine. I’ve never tried it before, but it’s supposed to be similar-ish to Abilify.
My meds not working any more is my biggest fear.

If Risperdal ever poops out on me I’ll solely rely on Seroquel to keep me stable.
I’m already on 100mg

Yes, no positive symptoms, wasn’t psychotic.
I had and still have negative and cognitive symptoms. I have some lingering unusual beliefs too. But I’m able to live with all that.

I never wanna go to the hospital. They put you on meds. Without consulting with you. When I go to my doctor I have a say so

I agree, hospital is just a warehouse for the mentally ill. At least on your own you have some say about your treatment.
