Do you live in the moment, and how fast does time move?

sometimes it feels like a single moment is my entire existence then other times it feels like majority of days are just filler episodes that ive lived through but are insignificant, sometimes time moves so fast that paying too much attention to any one thing is pointless, and sometimes im like frozen where all i can do is think and leads to overthinking. idk if the time moving without my awareness is dissociation or depersonalization. but i almost like when i come to the realization that the present moment does not last forever, helps with anxiety

I think you’re saying that perception of time is mood dependant. If you are, it is the same for me. Time’s where too much happens in one go, you can only watch. Time’s when so little happens, you end up thinking.

It’s healthy to have it balanced, moderately to the point that you switch between observing the world and partaking in the world; one as much as the other.

I wanted to add. Elders always say life goes fast, for those of us who are half way though 30/40, I guess the best course of action for living is to adapt to both speed and slow life so we can extract as much emotion as we can from the journey with as few regrets as possible.
