Going to lunch with my mums family and ours and it’s a good time. Not because of the rubbish religious connections but because family is important and there’s public holidays. Enjoy your Easter peeps and if you can use it reconnect if your isolated or shore up relationships with family or friends if your connected.

Yes, French Caribbean people eat crab during Easter
Other French people eat lamb I think, I always ate crab and I prefer that so I’m not complaining

The tall cylinder shaped bready cake, Kulich, represents the resurrection of Jesus and symbolises the church dome.
The pyramid shaped sweet cheese, Pashka, is meant to represent the tomb, and the white colouring symbolises the purity of Christ, the Paschal Lamb, and the joy of the Resurrection. This is made with a special plastic mould.
Together, they are made with ingredients that have been restricted over the prior 40 day Great Lent period.
