So anyone else see this yet? For a horror movie, it had decent ratings. But to me it was only gore with very little plot. I like more plot than that. Your thoughts?
is it a sequel to Evil Dead one ? army of darkness Evil Dead two is one of my fave movies.
I haven’t seen it but I’m hearing it was sort of a stinker.
It’s part of the evil dead universe. My husband thinks it’s the 6th one
army of darkness is the only one I know well…it’s a comedy.
It was less enjoyable than the rest, not because there was too much gore but because it was poorly paced. There were no breaks in the action for story to advance, it was just 20 minutes of frontloaded story then 1 hour and 15 minutes of non stop action. It was exhausting.
I have not but I have seen the ads for it. On a related note, “Frankenstien” from 2025 is sort of a horror movie and it was very good , I thought, if you havent seen and are looking for similar.
I agree @Agent101g it was non stop gore/action without a plot
Frankenstein is by Guillermo del Toro though, everything he touches turns to gold. Check out his version of Pinocchio on Netflix if you want to cry. It’s set in the backdrop of a fascist era Italy and features biblically accurate angels. (not trying to break the religion rule just pointing out what they are to impress upon you the fact that it’s not your average Pinocchio story).
I want to see it, because of the mindless non-stop gore and intensity. I need movies that don’t make me think these days. My attention span is awful.
Is it depressing kind of gore and horror or does it stick to Evil Dead’s campy and absurd style? That’d be my deciding factor I guess.
It’s not depressing at all. It’s absurd gore all the way. It starts off less gory though
