Definitely love plant based milk. Oat milk has been a game changer for stomach acidity and reflux, plus its so refreshing, the problem with it is drinking too much and overfilling my stomach.

Always used to drink soy milk. Just can’t get it easily where I’m at now. Just love plant based milk, especially now that antipsychotic related gerd makes cows milk hard to stomach.
I like my regulsr milk, but plant based oat milk is pretty tasty and soft drink on it’s own. Pretty nice with, say, nuts or even bananas. But regular milk is more affordable around here truth to be told. But those other varieties are not bad either.
I love cows milk too and would drink it extensively if antipsychotics hadnt messed up my stomach. Skim milk is my go to otherwise. But what you say is true about any kind of milk and bananas, really makes an appetizing blend that the body lets you know it likes…
i persoanlluy dont see the point of plant based milks. Almond milk is just a few almonds blended in milk with sugar and some artificial vitamins mixed in. Oat milk is the same thing but just a tablespoon of oats blended in instead. I mean if someone likes the taste of it im not hating, but just saying i dont think its a health food really.
That 's a valid argument. Almond milk does have that common criticism against it, but at the same time it’s a kind of beverage, so it’s naturally going be a high percentage ~98% or more water. It doesn’t compare to cows milk which one could technically live off exclusively for quite a while, maybe only drinking 5 to 10 cups a day. However, fortified soy milk is arguably better than cows milk in that regard. Arguably tho. Oat milk is undeniably good for combatting acid reflux which really helped me sleep last night because sleep medicine gave me a chronic gerd cough. It’s amazing in plant based lattes and things like that as milk substitute. But yeah plant based milk might be a gimmick in some ways, not comparable to the OG cows milk in many respects,
True I see yea. Idk I wasn’t trying to criticize it that deep. Actually now that I think about it it’s not so bad of a product. Just pointing out that it’s not really a health food per se like it’s sometimes marketed as. I think that’s true of a lot of foods like protein bars etc
Best thing to drink is water, and get nutrition from wholesome foods. To be perfectly honest I’m against value added capitalism and think our foods should be unprocessed and whole. However, economic reality dictates what we eat if we are not super choosy. Thanks for the reply man. You take care of your health really well, your opinion is valued.
