Update: interview went alright. Nice people. Only problem is they are mainly looking for people with customer service experience more so than photo ability.

They might still hire you because you can help sell the cameras because you’re knowledgeable about them

There was one good sign. The boss said that “most of the people who are applying don’t know an f stop to a bus stop.” Lol I thought that was funny.

And customer service is just being polite and friendly and knowing the stores refund policies etc and most of this is easy to learn

Honestly dont act like a salesman just show people your enthusiasm for photography and cameras and they will be sold.

That’s a good idea. But they have certain standards and I won’t know them until I’m hired. IF I get hired.

Yeah you better do what they want if they hire you. Ive done the sales thing before with all the acronym systems and sales methods and its awkward and unnatural af tho.
