I got stung by a wasp yesteryday for the first time in years

It got stuck in my t shirt
It stung my tricep near my armpit
Now my tricep is swollen up to my forearm
Damn you wasp!

Ouch!!! I once had a wasp sting the bottom of my foot when I had my feet propped up outside. Man! It hurt for 2 weeks! I feel for you

Yeah, we used to go barefoot all summer as a kid and stepping on a bee and getting stung was a hazard.

They say the chance of a bumblebee stinging a human is very low compared to wasps and bees.

Apparently one of the explenations is that bumblebees are vegetarian, while wasps and bees crave stuff that is in human foods.

So the wasp will do like teretorial strikes at people, while a bumblebee will only sting if it gets afraid by for example getting trapped inside under clothes.

I once as a child held a bumblebee inside my hand. It took it about half a minute before it stung me. So lesson learned. They look cute, but you can’t play with them :face_savoring_food:

Sometimes bees lose their energy and stop moving. To revive them you have to put them on a piece of apple. Usually they ingest the sugar and then fly off!
