My mom is the only one in my family I talk to anymore…it’s sad but true…everybody just hates me…just because my wife got benefits from disability. talk about prejudice. they can keep all their wealth…we are happy.

Why do they dislike your wife getting disability? Do you get disability or if not what do you do. I’m just curious and a little confused I guess.
@Batik21 a lot of people don’t believe in getting on disability unless you are very low iq or a quadriplegic or something. They judge harshly. My husband’s family is that way. They have no problem with his district being on disability because she’s deaf and blind, but they do have a problem with my husband being on disability for a combo of a spine injury and mental illness. My dad is also opposed to disability benefits. They just don’t get it.

unfortunately…the poor are kind of forgotten right now in society…I believe in good conquering evil though…so there is still hope I think.

I’m confused because I thought they were mad for you relying on your mom financially. Why would they be mad that you are financially free of her?
They were mad about that too…but now it is only because my wife got her disability it seems…they might be mad about the past leaning on my mom though, I haven’t forgotten it and neither have they probably.
That’s silly, disability serves an important purpose in our society. This “break your back working if you didn’t inherit a ton of money” thing feels like the worst part of being American.

How do you know that is their issue? Is this coming from your mom as you do not talk to them? Like many people have back problems yet work. Sometimes they get surgery to correct it. So they probably do not believe the gravity of her situation. It’s really too bad they don’t want to know her better. Unless they don’t get along.

my sister is a trumpster…won’t regard the poor with anything but seeing them as leeches on society…my brother is the one still angry that I leaned on my mom…my other brother is just a jerk and has been all my life.

We’ve had to cut off a family member or two in the last year and a half, I totally get where you’re coming from.
Funny enough the same people who think all us poorsters should break our backs working are okay with some people inheriting millions and never working an honest day in their lives.

my wife cut them off a long time ago…I’m just now becoming aware of what they think of her…it’s insulting. you’re right.
