Just bought a game that is probably too old school for most of you

I shouldnt be buying games with our budget right now. But it was only 7 dollars with the 3 dollars I had in my steam wallet.

I got Fallout 2. A game I mustve played through a dozen times 20 to 30 years ago. It’s been ages since I have , though and I thought it might be fun to go through one more time.

I can’t remember the end exactly. I remember getting to the main Enclave base and getting to the “president” but I dont remember what happened after that. Maybe I did not finish it?

Anyway, I will finish it this time. Pretty violent game. Lots of combat and role playing.

If you like this type of game this is a retro classic I would recommend.

Anyway, I am off to get a couple hours in while my wife sleeps.

Wish me luck in my journeys in the post apocolyptic wasteland.

Kind of funny. It took like less than 15 seconds to download. It’s amazing how much content they put into games with such small storage space used back then.

Fallout 2… Good Lord! Im considering Fallout 4 again for the PS5. I usually just float between Red Dead Redemption II and GTAV. Though lately playing Terminator Resistance quite a bit.

I remember that game - must have played first time around 15 years ago. Really epic and atmospheric game, but quite difficult too. Pretty awful user interface though and the first game was more serious without all the pop-culture references the second game has. But still great games, and the Fallout 3 and New Vegas are great too. Just epic in scope, but time investment is large likewise if you wish to experience them in full. Have not played the fourth installment, got the impression it is heavily simplified and streamlined from the role-playing roots.

I think I have Fallout 3, but I don’t have 2. My SO likes to play 76 and played 4 before that came out. In fact, I only bought 3 in the hopes that he’d try it out. We’ve never played it. I do like Red Dead 2, but that’s a newer one. Also, I accidentally killed a horse in that one. It was my SO’s. He still gives me flack for it.
