My psychiatrist loves to prescribe Seroquel for everything.
I can’t sleep he prescribes Seroquel
I’m feeling manic, he prescribes Seroquel
I’m feeling irritable or edgy, it’s Seroquel
Don’t get me wrong it’s a good med but man the stuff turns me into a sleepy zombie!
I’m going to call him on Monday and ask for a different add on med.
It also raises my blood sugar levels too high
Good idea @Wave its unbearable just sleeping constantly
Yeah I’m really trying to like it but the sleepiness and fatigue the following day is unbearable!
If I take it at 10pm the night before im in a zombie like state all day long the following day
It’s too much for me to live this way.

My psychiatrist is keen to change meds every time i see her and wants to change dose too. But i put my foot down i dont want to mess with them because i feel these are as good as it gets. Im sorry your having this issue , hope pdoc understands and hears you.

holy hell my psychiatrist loved Seroquel 23 years ago!
whatever my problem was, I got Seroquel. it was a miracle drug for eveything. and if it didn’t help, she prescribed more. soon my dose was 900mg per day, and half of it I took in the morning. I fell asleep the second I took my morning meds! how stupid! I also fell deep into psychosis, and finally in the hospital they switched my medication to Clozapine and Abilify. what a horrible drug Seroquel was for me. if I complained about it, she just put me on a bigger dose.
My psychiatrist is a fan of Haldol
