On the phone with DES UGH

Well I have been on the phone nearly an hour with DES(department of economic security) to try and get my Medicaid benefits reinstated.

They just informed me that I won’t hear an answer till around July 20th to August 5th because they are so backed up.

I am trying to see if I qualify for an emergency grant in the meantime. I need my meds soon and I am going to be completely out of my Welbutrin, Prozosin and Zofran in like 4 days.

Guys I am freaking out a bit. Send me good vibes/prayers/wishes anything. I need all the luck I can get. Will keep you all posted.

Sorry @Hanna_Foxx things aren’t working your way .. You can’t afford to loose meds .. Can you get it somehow?

The whole thing is a mess. I should have state funding for my mental health medications at least but it’s a process getting those filled and paid for. Hopefully my case manager can do something to help me get my most important medications filled.

The emergency grant won’t go into affect for at least 7-10 days they said IF I qualify.

I was able to get my psych meds filled under my SMI Grant. But I can’t get my physical health meds yet

DES is Department of Economic Security in the US. UGH is just an expression
