Morning all. Got back from Lancashire last night. Was nice to see my dad.

Settling back into a routine now. Kids go back to school on Monday.

I watched a pretty awesome documentary earlier tonight on Tubi. Took my meds almost an hour ago. I’m up pretty late tonight. Might go out and talk to the birds here in a little while.

Did I break a rule by mentioning erotic literature? I thought that it was safe to discuss such topics if we kept it from being x-rated in our discussion

Mentioning sexual related thing for sz related issues like side effects of meds is fine. But just a thread talking about what kind of written pornography people like breaks the rules.

I didn’t know that we couldn’t discuss erotica. Kind of not exactly equivalent to pornography.

I mean I defer to your judgment sorry about that

It’s 7am watching tosh.0. had cupcakes yesterday to celebrate a1c in range for diabetics. 6.2. gonna do a cup of coffee and watch the news soon. I mentioned someone got shot at my old apartments. That guy died. Might read today. Usually the weekends I veg out. Gotta do some laundry but I do it lazy man style. Put in washer one day, next day put in dryer. I’m reading a political philosophy book it seems like all it talks about is freedom and property and corrupt people in charge. If I stick to my reading schedule I’ll be done with it late next week. I have like 5 college philosophy textbooks that I own that I wanna read but I bought a new philosophy book that I wanna read first, it’s a 2 week read. I posted it on here it’s when I figure out the meaning of life they keep changing it book. People are fearless and confident when no one sees you. May we all be invisible to be whatever our imagination entertains. We need a hero. A laundry hero.

This is husserl but I was reading about Martin Luther kings biography and he studied Nietzsche and a lot of other philosophers..I thought that was cool, Nietzsche helps you think on things, his way of seeing the world.

I’m not very intrigued by lacan

Some people said he was kind of a fraud

My dad’s ex-girlfriend was an ostensible lacanian analyst, but when questioned about lacan’s beliefs, she couldn’t answer any questions. She literally knew nothing about his work.

I’m not familiar with all of his work. For freud I read civilization and it’s discontents and the book where he criticizes religion the future of an illusion
