Officially dropped out of physics and maths course. Waiting on eligibility for finance or I’ll have to go back and do undergrad finals again (at a different place)

Struggling with the thought of not being able to work. I know I talk about this quite often here, but it is something that I think about a lot. How do you folks cope with it?

I applied to a job yesterday, then withdrew my application today. I do this all the time – as I end up changing my mind. Sometimes I feel worthless, not having a job.

My voices are talking to me all day, keeps me occupied instead of thinking about working. If I have a few good days in a row I think about working but thats rare

Tbh we schizophrenics are better off not working…all that free time…for books, music, instruments, learning, art, films/tv. Walks in nature etc. Weightlifting. Hobbies

Both my siblings say work is draining.

I also did 40hrs a week as a waiter before and it was awful with regards to free time.

it just such an alternative lifestyle, compared to normies. I have too much time, and not enough hobbies. I think the pros outweigh the cons when it comes to working, but I’m just unable to hold down a job for long. It’s maddening.

Today I was feeling bad (anxiety and slight disassociation), so it was one of those days where I’m glad I don’t have a job

Having a job gives people a sense of belonging and place. It’s really really important I think.

And it’s fuc ked up that we can’t work because of our disability.

Had to take down a wall today. From that orange column , all the way up. I didn’t think I could do it but I did it all in two hours. I had to place them on the other side of the wall.

I only do my job because I like to spend and don’t have the option of disability. If you want to fill time you could always go volunteer. Other than that, enjoy your free time.
