gud afternoon

i’m thinking it’s finally time to go back on SSRIs again… i talked with my psychiatrist about my obsessive thoughts and she was super forward about putting me on them if i wanted-i’m giving myself a minute to think it over but i think i’m gonna just end up taking the offer when i meet her again in 2 weeks. i at least got my anxiety med dosage upped!!! hoping for the best there…

Just remember it slows your digestive track so you need lots of water, fiber, and very small meals at a time.

Given the high prevalence of mental illness, the use of antipsychotics in the prison milieu is widely extended. In recent years there has been an increase in the use of long-acting antipsychotic injectables (LAI), in parallel with the increased use of this therapy outside prison

When I was in jail they refused to give me my psych meds. I begged them and begged them and was told ā€œwe’ll look into itā€ dozens of times over four months in solitary. They never looked into it. I didn’t get my meds until they were preparing me for court, upon which they shipped me to some mental hospital for a month and finally put me back on the meds I was prescribed. I then became sane surprise surprise.

In hindsight I wonder if the time I spent in the hole for that long would have been easier or harder on meds. It could go either way.

I don’t think about it much anymore but every now and then I have a doozy of a nightmare about it.

The jail/prison system in the USA could use some reform.
