Say Anything #35

OOO that sounds tasty man.

I’m doing a load of white laundry at the moment. I’ve noticed my whites build up fast in the summer because sometimes I go through two white shirts a day due to sweating etc. or coffee stains and stuff like that.

RIght. You just like to change your clothes so you have an excuse to get undressed and stand by the window so the neighbors can see you.

You aren’t fooling anyone Monte.

Oh? Like when I’m creeping on the neighbors across the street and I’m wearing nothing but my platform flip flops?

Good Greetings!:hibiscus::herb:.

I managed to make a Blackbean salad for the first time today.

I find it challenging putting together affordable Vegan recipes.

Most are too expensive or and complicated.

This Salad was thankfully doable for me to put together.

I prefer buying ready made microwavable vegan meals most of the time but thats also expensive.More so even depending on what one cooks.

Also i am not so knowledgable about nutrition and getting enough nutrients as vegan or plant based.

Do thankfully know to take a vitamin b 12 supplement and a iron supplement.

Theres not that many Vegan recipes that i can cook that are affordable with ingredients purchase.

I found a vegan taco recipe that my husband and I both loved back when I was vegan. Do you like tacos?

Ingredients

  • 1 cup soaked and cooked lentils
  • 1 cup red beans
  • 1/2 cup pureed carrots
  • oregano
  • chili pepper
  • paprika
  • cumin
  • garlic salt
  • black pepper

Just mixed al ingredients in a food processor and put in your taco shells. Yum! @Sacredneigh7

This fella says you gotta create self value or worth in life.

Author and speaker Leo Buscaglia—famously known as ā€œDr. Loveā€ā€”defined love not as a static emotion, but as an active, evolving, and conscious choice. He argued that love requires constant effort and that to genuinely love others, one must first embrace self-love, vulnerability, and authentic self-acceptance. [1, 2, 3]

Buscaglia’s teachings revolutionized how people view human connection by breaking down love into several core pillars: [1]

Love is a Verb

Buscaglia firmly believed that one does not simply fall ā€œinā€ or ā€œoutā€ of love. Instead, he argued that love is an active process. It requires intentional effort, daily commitment, and active participation. He urged people to ā€œgo out and get itā€ rather than wait for it to magically appear. [1, 2, 3, 4]

Self-Love as the Foundation

You cannot give what you do not have. Buscaglia emphasized that to genuinely love another person, you must first cultivate self-acceptance, self-worth, and self-care. By embracing your own true self, you become capable of forming healthy, fulfilling relationships. [1, 2]

Embrace Vulnerability

Opening up and risking vulnerability is essential for meaningful connection. While partaking in relationships opens the door to potential hurt or disappointment, avoiding them guarantees isolation and deprives you of joy, magic, and wonder. [1, 2]

Open Arms vs. Closed Arms

He famously stated that ā€œlove is open armsā€. If you close your arms defensively around love, you will eventually find that you are only holding yourself. Trust and emotional generosity are required to truly experience its transformative power. [1, 2, 3, 4]

If you are interested in exploring his teachings, Buscaglia’s books originated from his legendary ā€œLove Classā€ at the University of Southern California and are designed to help readers identify personal barriers to connection.

Was watching love after lockup. This lady was in prison and a guy paid for her to have everything in prison for years. She got out and went on shopping sprees. He then told her I’m broke and she said I can’t be married to a broke man. Gave him his ring back. Ha.
