Iā€™ve looked at the reviews. Mediocre camera tech paired with first rate software. Too bad they cheaped out on the camera or it would have been my next go to. The Xiaomi has much better camera hardware ā€¦ and thatā€™s it.

Also likely copies everything on it back to China.

I have to admit Iā€™m brand loyal so maybe my perspective is skewed but the UI is so nice that I wonder if I even care about the camera. I barely use the camera anyway. Itā€™s becoming kind of a bizarre metric imo

Depends on your skill level. I need a good sensor that turns out a quality RAW file I can push to within an inch of itā€™s life. Samsung, Apple, Sony, and Xiaomi have those sensors. Google cheaped out and it shows. Their images fall apart when you work them hard.

I walk into impossible situations and walk out with usable images because I know how far I can push each piece of gear, even the older ones.

I donā€™t find the iPhone reliable either from experience. they kept taking me through the troubleshoot steps and got fed up after nothing worked. I donā€™t think any phone is reliable.

Itā€™s a design failure

The freakish camera plateau bump on the back of the phone was a horrible idea from Apple.

Iā€™m sticking with my iPhone 17

Itā€™s a clean simple phone
