Video Game Thread Remastered

I am currently playing 3 boxing/MMA managment games :

Pound for pound which is an MMA managment game where you control dozens of fighters and make matches between them or free agents. You have goals throughout the game that you get points for to unlock more features. There is also a points system which replaces money and other factors which you use to contract more fighters, renew contracts and spend on advertising and other things. The fights can either be viewed in text or simulated.

The other two games are a little less polished so far but in development and both gettting better every day.

The first is “Sim : Heavyweight boxing champion” In this sim you play as one heavyweight boxer and navigate your way to the top of the heavyweight division. The most recent update adds the ability to start in a certain era and enables your fighter to fight against real life fighters from that era. The fights are played out in text with color commentary and you have various speed settings to play the fights. You also select your tactics between rounds.

The final one I’m playing is still being playtested and is not released yet. It’s called “corner king:boxing tycoon”. Really hoping this one turns out well as I’m investing a lot of my own time finding bugs and giving suggestions. Plus the Developer seems to be a really nice guy so I’m hoping he succeds. This game is getting a little more complex than the other 2. You hire boxers, assign training, complete tasks, manage relationships, set up bouts, scout fighters, handle press conferences and lots of other stuff. You even get email in the game. It, to me, seems like a more complete management simulation. The fights can either be played out graphicly or simulated. You talk to your fighter between rounds. The developer has told me that it is likely to be released this summer.
