I am on Vraylar and so far it’s very effective, more so than clozapine. I just have a worry. There’s a 24% chance of relapse. Should I be worried about this?

Where did you hear that statistic? That’s interesting. My advice is to call your psychiatrist’s office and ask if that’s something you need to be concerned about, and if so, what to look for or do in case it does happen. Be prepared. Have a plan that’s all set for yourself

I plan on asking her, and I read it on the internet. I don’t want to go back to clozapine. Though my delusions were less intense, I still had them. It also made me very tired and slowed my brain down to the point it was problematic.

So far Vraylar has worked very well for me. I haven’t had any delusions since I started taking it. I have seen coincidences but my brain blows them off.

I had high hopes for it but they took me off it
My body is rubbish at absorbing medication
What are you on now? Is it working?
On Clozapine
It doesn’t work fully but better than most
I am going to reduce the dose soon as I have put on over 30 kilos
They refuse weight loss meds
Only offer metformin but online that says it only takes 5% weight off
These newer ones more like 20%
My weight should be like 70 kg being reasonable but currently about 110kg

No I told them I am doing it myself
You shouldn’t do that, I highly recommend talking to your doctor. They’ll put you on a different medication that may work better. That’s what happened with me.

Also when they were weening me off of clozapine I had severe symptoms. Be careful.

It is a bit silly to worry over something you cannot control.
Wait and see what happens. Try not to ruminate on something that may or may not happen.

Yeah this pretty much.
No point in worrying, just gotta learn how to be ready when these things happen, clozapine to vraylar is a pretty hardcore switch though, relapse or not it will probably feel at least somewhat difficult either way
