I seem to have been told, or felt like, different animals at different times in my life.
Once, when I was 16 (a very, very long time ago, now), I was doing some theatre classes, and was told I was like a lion. That made me very happy.
Some years later, I became a bear - for reasons I’d rather not post here. (No major wrong doing on my part, really - that’s not why I don’t want to go into why.)
Then, when I started dating again, after being totally out of the picture for 10 years, I felt like one of those lonely male elephants, wondering around in the savannah.
And now, I really don’t know.
Maybe, just maybe, I’m starting to feel like a human again. I hope.
(P.S. Humans are technically animals, aren’t we?)
