What's on your bucket list?

i just made a bucket list. there are some things that would be fun. But i’d have to get a drivers lisence and save lotsa money for, like snowboarding and goig for a hike alone and staying in a cabin.

there are also some things that i could maybe try at home, like screen printing (learnt it at art school) or making my own music (never really tried that)

All I know, is that I’m sick of spending 1k for a week with my mother in my hometown and then returning to the same boredom trap.

I need some fun.

regularly.

What do you guys do for fun? and what do you dream of doing?

I have visiting Washington DC and seeing the tourist sites of the White House, Capitol Hill and the DC Memorial as a few items to check-off on my bucket list.

Japan would be very interesting to visit

Japan has been somewhat westernized so shaking hands would replace the, “slow bowing of your top torso including the head” to greet a stranger or someone you just met.

Read these philosophy books in my library. I have over a hundred and some philosophy books. I have 50 books that I want to read. I’m at a point where all ideas in philosophy dissatisfy me. I really could care less. I’ve read so many ideas. You get to a point where you over intellectualize everything and everything feels empty. These ideas feel empty like a college professor teaches this so someone can self aggrandize to someone like a circus performer. It all feels so vapid. When I was younger I probably read a few hundred philosophy books, a lot of classics. You do grow from wrestling even with a terrible philosophy book it tests your mental faculties.

Oh yeah, i’m kind of the same, except with self help books, i have over 100 of them. They seem useless now. I used to enjoy Nietzche when i considered myself spiritual ( a long time ago)

I look up the word ‘bucket list’, oh it is not shopping list, but one’s goal.

I dream of becoming a security researcher (or ethical hacker) one day, but since AI is getting more and more powerful, it will replace the job of security researcher in finding software vulnerabilities, so now I am not putting much hope onto it anymore.

I don’ t really have much on the bucket list. I guess in a way I had a few things on there like getting a degree, the standard married with kids, and owning my own home. Writing a book, as has been mentioned, is kind of on everyone’s bucket list, but it’s not really something I particularly care about. Schizophrenia has basically reduced my bucket list to a very unmotivated, reduced version. In the near future I would like to start cycling again, and continue running through the winter and do xcountry and trail running here in the spring and summer next year.
