I was in chemistry class in 10th grade. My mother saw it from her building so she came and got me early. I did a painting that day that has been stolen since by movers. I was really worried

I was 40 years old and renting a room in this guys house. I got up and I was half asleep and I walked through the living room to get to the kitchen and the guy was watching TV in the living room. He called to me, “Hey, you gotta see this.” Not knowing what was going on I said jokingly, “What is it, WWIII?” He said, “Maybe” and sounded serious so I went back in the living room and saw a plane crashing into the tower. I watched for awhile and then went to my park ranger job that day.

Was working a summer job in the university library. A woman from the library offices came up and told a colleague his girlfriend was on the phone (was before we used mobile phones that much).

He came back 5 minutes later and said we need to check the news. We were all students at the uni so we signed into a library computer and watched it unfold on the bbc news website.

I believe we saw the second plane live.

That was my JFK moment

I was at home with my daughter. She was a toddler. It was so scary to watch because I didn’t know if it meant war or not. I was thinking about how to protect her. Scary times

I was 33 and at work at a dot com back in the day. Had a 2 week old kid at home and the whole thing was freaky. Potential buyers for our company were in from NY that day and they were obviously devastated.

First period ninth grade. My second or third period speech teacher told the class that we’d never forget where we were when to towers were hit. I could go in more detail, but I still remember that day.

I was studying my a levels in college. I happened to be on a break at the time and was watching it on the news. Like @Jimbob I also saw the second plane hit live.

I walked home and remember thinking WW3 was gonna break loose.

I was in the break room at work getting ready to clock in. I worked for the phone company. We did credit screening for New Jersey customers. We were Hella busy that day. People from New Jersey were frantic not able to reach their loved ones in New York. You didn’t know what to say to them. You didn’t know how to calm them.

3rd grade, they rolled out the TV and we watched it on the news. Now that I remember, my uncle worked at the Pentagon but did not go into work that day.

I was 27 when it happened..

Working in my saloon, some girl dropped by and said some plane crashed into building.. I thought some small plane who had malfunction.. I saw all when I came home 9 pm.

To mention, bombarding my country was 1999. There wasn’t just military objects hit,but schools, private buildings and lot of cassette bombs that killed citizens. So we got immune to war, terrorism and such things..
