Vraylar for me was one of if not the worst antipsychotic it made me feel disconnected from the world
But most meds DONT WORK for ME
latuda at first helped me with voices but I was constantly paranoid and delusional with ZERO insight you couldn’t convince me out of the delusional thoughts
Its good for some tho and latuda DID help with depression and motivation at first
Thankyou for your honesty @Fisherman1992
Vraylar didn’t work for me. I was angry because on paper it seemed like such a good med
Latuda I took that for 18 months but then somehow failed to tolerate it
But our metabolisms and tolerances are all different
Best start with what you like the looks of and work from that
Messing around with meds is a pain but you can get lucky relatively speaking!
Thankyou @Joker i’m really hoping some better med is out there
My clopixol causes me severe anhedonia/ no emotions. And has little effect on everything else like paranoia, voices and low moods
The only godsend rn is the Vortioxetine which is noticably effective at reducing suicidal ideation
Thanks everyone!
Latuda is looking the better one so far
I’m on 6 mg of Vraylar, and it’s a great med for me. Doesn’t touch my negative symptoms, and I still get positive symptoms, but they are manageable. Not sure about the side effects – I don’t have any that are too bad
I am on low dose Vraylar/cariprazine and it helps a bit with negatives, maybe. But mainly it is harm reduction in terms of side-effects and keeping mild positives in check. Latuda caused anhedonia, horrible akathisia and body temparature dysregulation, so no help to negatives there. Btw - latuda needs food/calories when you take it and it is a hassle that way.
I’m on Vraylar, I don’t know if it helps with negs? I feel stimulated, but despite that I don’t do much.
Vraylar sent me into a horrible manic episode. I liked it until then
Latuda was ok for me with keeping positives in check, but I did get some akathisia and resltess leg syndrome when I’d go to bed. Never tried Vraylar.
