I heard it has severe physical side effects and is not as effective as other meds according to users on reddit who were on it. How is it? Does it make you tired like other meds? Is it effective?

According to studies it doesn’t have much of the typical side effects of normal antipsychotics but it does have GI related side effects for a bit which supposedly resolves after some time
Bmy the company is trying to market it as a clozapine replacement but I think it’s more of a risperidone or abilify replacement…
And it supposedly works better for negative and cognitive symptoms according to a third party independent study

Lots of its users on reddit have nausea and puking as side effects as well as constipation. It has no tardive dyskinesia risk which is nice. From what I read on pubmed studies it does not treat core or primary negative and cognitive symptoms of sz but is better than all the other meds in that it does not worsen them. I still do not know if antipsychotics worsen them as my pdoc says no and its the sz. Its not as effective as Clozapine yes

I can’t advise you on that but abilify did make my negatives way better lol, so I think some antipsychotic including cobenfy treats primary negatives…

But idk i didnt try cobenfy i like aripiprazole and quetiapine

Time heals everything and staying out of psychosis to allow the brain to heal. I improved a lot the last 3 years but I want it faster and more, I guess I am not realistic. I want to be like before sz but Drs are saying its impossible

I tell you no perfect pill. Gain can be stabilised and controlled.

Time doesn’t heal everything…in fact time makes negative symptoms worse as we aged , there are multiple studies on this…

idk some here are on Clozapine and work full time. Also there was a guy on 6mg risperidone who finished medschool. So this makes me think that its not the meds causing all these symptoms

Working with antipsychotics not everybody can . I waa working but latwr as aged more health problems so i stopped working and went on disability

Sure they can do those stuff but in reality , your memory and cognitive are shot having this illness and our pills doesn’t treat those symptoms

I won’t touch it, I read long-term it messes up your liver labs and gives you gallbladder issues.

The evaluation of Cobenfy is the best analyzes I red in this forum on that I totally agree. Yes Cobenfy the only antipsychotic that does not miss with dopamine receptors so it doesn’t create negative secondary symptoms like the other antipsychotics so it may be the best antipsychotics of them all regarding negative symptoms. But you must consider that it has lots of GI side effects.

Cobenfy gave me nausea and vomiting and severe diarrhea. It helped sza symptoms but wasn’t worth the puking. I’m on clozapine now and prefer it’s side effects over those of Cobenfy.
