Apple iPhone Event - Introduction of New CEO John Ternus

@Wave Hey, I’m not sure if you also want to upgrade your charging brick but your soon to be iPhone 18 Pro Max will charge its battery faster with a 60-Watt brick. Previous iPhones were limited to 20-Watts. Anker & uGreen are two good brands you can purchase from Amazon. Just a reminder. :slightly_smiling_face:

Cook had the daunting task of replacing Jobs in 2011, and I think he did a great job. Apple’s market cap increased from $347B to $4.85T. He wasn’t a tech guy, he was more of a culture guy.

Ternus is a hardware guy, so I think the Duo is his baby, so to speak. I expect Apple to release more products under Ternus.

I have the iPhone 17 Pro Max, and it meets my needs, so the Duo is not for me, at least not this year. The Duo seems to me to be a combination of an iPhone and an iPad Mini. Maybe not.

Who is the Duo for? Besides people with discretionary income who want the next big thing, I do see a market for it. Professionals who want to run two apps at the same time, emails, reading and signing PDFs (pencil is not yet available, and it’s a USB-C pencil that is not touch sensitive. Old pencils are not compatible, and I believe it’s going to have to be physically connected via the cable to use).

The Duo is good for media (movies and games). Battery life is excellent. Camera is good. Sound is excellent. The fold is nearly seamless. And so much more.

The starting price is $1,999 (USD). I think it will sell well.

You want to utilize all the features of your new iPhone when you receive it. 50% charged battery in 15-minutes was a feature not available in past iPhones.
