Aps destroy muscle density. It’s horrible
I recommend getting on abilify. I was on clozapine and I lost all my muscle mass. It was horrible
“This is my body. There are plenty like it, but this one is mine.”

ah they do a lot of things. It’s ok, I didn’t like being the crazy guy more than being the out of shape guy
Im on rexulti which is similar in some ways.
Lol I agree that we should cherish our individuation and celebrate our ancestors who led to our form
The more I reflect on what you said I think your saying it doesn’t matter what we look like. That’s a neutralist perspective. Go you!
“what is your major malfunction!” “Did your mommy and daddy not show you enough attention?”
(no I am not attacking @Schztuna . These are “full metal jacket” references)
Those words are actually part of a Marine Corps creed— just replace the word “body” with “rifle” (…Got inspired by the movie Full Metal Jacket, haha.)
I would say if anything, it’s an utilitarian perspective:
The body can be seen as a tool— as the physical extension of mind and thought. It is a complex system in its own right. Our bodies get us where we need to go, and can do many different things. It needs fuel, rest, and care.
What is Body Neutrality?
Body neutrality is the philosophy that you can exist in your body without having to feel a strong emotional opinion—positive or negative—about how it looks. It is often described as a “middle ground” or a “truce” with your physical self.
While body positivity encourages people to love their appearance and find beauty in their “imperfections,” body neutrality shifts the focus away from appearance entirely. It treats the body as a vessel or a tool that allows you to experience life, rather than as a decorative object to be judged.
Core Principles of Body Neutrality
Function over Form: You value your body for what it does (breathing, walking, hugging, thinking) rather than how it appears in a mirror.
Decoupling Worth from Appearance: Your value as a human being is independent of your weight, shape, or skin.
Radical Acceptance: It acknowledges that you might not like how you look every day, and that’s okay. You can still respect and care for a body you don’t “love.”
Reduced Mental Load: The goal is to spend less time thinking about your body overall, freeing up mental energy for your hobbies, relationships, and goals
I lost all my white blood cells.
I bump along on the lowest dose of APs possible because they are hell on the body and the mind. Yes, they keep the bad parts of your brain in check, but they also punch down the good parts that you need to function, to regulate a healthy body, etc.
Less is more with APs. Diet, exercise, therapy, supplements, growth mindset… Whatever trick you can use to drop your dose, do it. The best recovery lies on that path.
