Usyk vs Rico this Saturday.
We are having people over. Undercard fights start at Noon central time and my sister and brother in law are coming around “2ish”. So they will likely catch 2 or 3 of the undercard fights in addition to the main event.
It’s at a spectacular location. In the shadow of the Pyramids of Giza in Egypt. Which makes for great ambiance .
However, the main event probably wont be very competitive. Usyk is an undefeated 3 world title belt champion(was undisputed, but lost the WBO because he didnt accept mandatory challenger) and his challenger has had 1 professional boxing match. He was apparently a bigshot in kickboxing, but the odds of him beating Usyk seem very small.
But you can never be sure in boxing, I guess. Unexpected things can happen.
I just hope its an entertaining fight.
It kind of seems like just a bit of a Payday fight for Usyk, though.
Hopefully his next two fights after this will be with opponents regarded a little more highly in boxing.
Apparently he is likely to only have 3 more fights before retiring.
As for our hosting, we have a number of munchies we are serving during the fight.
I guess the main thing is that we all have a good time.
We are also picking up our puppy Tuesday!
