What you have is a moral dilemma. You can’t eat plants or animals, so you die. Animals have similar emotions to humans, plants have no emotions unless you speak figuratively. Plants can die and come back to life. Water and soil. Animals die and that’s it. You can farm animals and plants. An animal has behaviors similar to a humans, differing emotions. A plant doesn’t have habits, just programmed cause and effect. Some animals don’t have a life their own, they come into existence simply to become human food, without this intention they would not exist. Does a short life constitute a good life? They are provided for. Everyone dies. We kill plants everyday, we mow the lawn. Is mowing the lawn morally bad? Should we all liberate plants and not mow our lawns?
