I looked online at my bank account ten minutes ago and saw that I was charged $65 by Just Answer. Just Answer is a service where you chat with their representative if you have a question about anything and they’ll hook you up with an expert who will call you. I used their service by mistake because it was very deceptive. I talked to someone from them but they didn’t even tell me he was from Just Answer, I used it to get my coin collection appraised earlier this month and thought I was talking to someone from a coin dealer but it was them and they charged me $75 for a 5 minute phone call.
I’ve been ripped off before by Just Answer and if I knew it was them I wouldn’t have signed up to talk to an expert. I didn’t use them again after the coin dealer fiasco so I didn’t know why I was being charged another fee of $65. I went to their website and tried to contact their customer service but they were deceptive again and tried to rope me into another chat. So I went to ChatGPT and got their real customer service number and called it.
I told the guy who answered the phone my story and told him I was basically tricked into paying and didn’t know what this new charge was. He looked up my phone number and told me I joined as member for a $65 a month charge. I said I didn’t know Im signed up for a membership and to cancel it and refund my $65. He said, I can cancel your membership but I’m sorry, we don’t refund money. I got mad and told him I felt I was being cheated and was it possible in some way to get a refund and her told me OK, I’ll cancel your membership and give you a refund!ll
I just got an email saying I’ll get refunded, I’ll wait and see if they really do it. If you’re going to use Just Answer just be careful and don’t commit to anything until you know exactly what you’re being charged.
