Can’t sleep so I was browsing facebook which was showcasing celebrities in my feed. I looked up a couple on Google.
Its amazing how old some of them look. I remember some of the movies they were in coming out when I was younger. It doesnt seem all that long ago but I look at them now and see very old Grandmas and Grandpas when, what seems like a few years ago, they were looking near or in their prime.
I dont really have a point here. I know I’ve aged too, but holy cow. Its a punch in the gut to see how old and frail some of them look.
the point is life is short. We grow until 20 years, then we have 40 years of decent life, then after 60 it gets rough for most people and can end whenever.
I’ll be 46 this year, when I wake up from a nap I feel like I was just born, I have trouble walking, I can barely see, and I have mild aches and pains. Then I’m awake.
I was doing OK up to the age of 47. Looked quite young for my age. Then my facial features decided to channel Errol Flynn after too much booze and drugs. Physically it went pear shaped in my mid 60s, or at least that was when things came to light.
Cognitively I’ve had a less steep , age related, decline than the average person. Strengths and weaknesses being as they’ve always been.
It is just that they forgot that decent life part somehow, but the rest is all good. /s But time sure flies when you think of it, true and unreal in a way. Must be the degrading neurons begging for mercy in this desert of the real.
