I spent several hours making resumes on several internet sites that claimed to be “free” only to have them want money and a subscription at the end.
I decided I would pay for one and then cancel the subscription, but I got a fraud alert on my phone. I told the alert that I did indeed make the purchase, but it still did not go through.
So, Instead I just made a resume in Word and converted it to an acrobat file. It doesnt have the fancy templates of the of the pay sites, but it should get the point across.
I also applied at one place for remote work with this resume.
I also took @FreeLunch ‘s idea for the survey site and applied there. Figured it might be ok for a bit of cash here and there until I get something else. It didnt sound like it was going to be nearly enough to replace my part time job without putting in tons of hours, but its something. They put me on the waiting list to get in.
So thats what I got done yesterday.
Today we need to get to the grocery store and the soc security office. My wife needs a new proof of benefits letter so we can apply for energy assistance sometime this week.
I used a site, created a resume, screen shot it with my phone, and recreated the resume in Word without paying for a subscription. Not sure if that helps you or not. Good luck with your search
I’ve had a resume on Indeed for years – it gets sent to the employer whenever you apply for a certain job. Now obviously my resume has holes in it and what not, from bad work history, but it’s still there
Idk about that site. I’ve never tried it but I’ve heard surgery sites generally make you answer a bunch of questions then can disqualify you mid survey and also you have to do a ton of surveys until you can cash out and if you quit before then you don’t get squat lol. Just a warning idk if the particular one your using is good or not
At my current job, I was just told the other day that it’s a good thing I interview so well, because my resume almost cost me the job due to not detailing enough relevant experience and being disorganized.
No other company ever minded or mentioned it, but this is a very professional hospital setting.
