Great news! -15characters!

After talking to my contractor that is going to work on the garage and getting thier estimate, my insurance company is going to cover everything except my deductible that the contractor put on estimate.

This makes it so we do not have to consider suing the driver that hit the garage in order to recover damages. This is a releif.

We still lose 1000 dollars on the deal because of the deductible, but it is not nearly as bad as it looked like at first.

After its fixed, we are going to look into putting some kind of baracade/obstruction angled from their driveway to my garage. Whether that is a bollard or a big stone block of some kind or whatever. Anything that is heavy and durable enough to slow down/stop a car and make them cautious of damaging their own vehicle if they are not careful.

That’s fantastic! The $1k does suck, but I like the barrier idea.
