I got a deal on removing the old shed from the back yard parking area so the contractor is coming to take care of both tomorrow.
Things are moving fast. I dont even have the first check from insurance yet.
It’s going to drain my checking account so I hope the insurance company is swift on getting the check out so I dont have to move stuff around to cover any incoming bills.
nice man! Is the funds from the insurance guarenteed tho? i wouldnt count on an insurance company in being fast with a payout… i heard (Especially medical insurance) they really drag their feet. Hope it works out tho
I couldve got the payment electronically but I decided to just get a paper check, so the funds should be available. Just a question of when they send out the paper check, I guess.
Hopefully soon.
I wont get the second check until I send them pictures of the repaired garage.
Thanks @jukebox . I am talking to contractor about installing some bollards out there to protect the garage in case this happens again. Going to wait and see how much they want to do it before deciding if we will just do it ourselves.
concrete is relatively easy when you buy premade concrete…set the forms up with lumber and do it yourself…use rebar spaced ever so like every twelve inches along and through the concrete…pm me I can’t really explain it but I am an architect and now how to space rebar in concrete…
