Maybe they thought it was a dumb idea

I was planning on getting cameras up, A motioin activated light up and have the company that fixed my garage install 2 bollards on either side of my garage after my garage got hit twice.

I have the cameras and the light up but the company has not contacted me about the bollards. I’m not sure why. Maybe they think its a dumb idea. Maybe its just not worth their time. IDK.

When I mentioned it to them, I said “If you want the work”. and they said “we always want the work”. But they have not contacted me.

Oh well. Maybe two garage cameras, 2 house cameras and a security light is enough.

id get the barrier too man, last thing you wanan do is risk paying 6000 again. I mean maybe you can wait a while but if your neighbours are constantly damaging your property theres a good chance itll happen again. Have you considered building it yourself?

YEs. Thats what I was originally going to do. I was hoping to get them professionally installed, though.

true yea getting them done professionally would probably be more aesthetic. All you really need to do i think is dig a hole, pour some concrete and put a few pieces of of rebar in it. and put the mould (paper cylinder) a few inches in the concrete. Then when its dry you can pour concrete in the cylider to the top. Then cover it with one of those plastic yellow covers to make it look good and be more visable. Thats probably the cheapest way, unless you want to get a solid steel cylinder.

Depends on the quote for the job but it could be cheaper to get a barrier block delivered.

I would put a barrier if its been hit twice in under a year… cameras wont do anything except answer some questions

If you can afford it, I’d definitely get the barrier. Is there a different company you can call?

They may have just forgot, people in that business are notorious for not getting back to you as planned, at least in my country. If you call them again it will probably work out.
