Has anyone else here ever practiced progressive muscle relaxation?

If so, do you have any tips, pointers? Thank you.

Just in the hospital. I’m not really big on it, I did it then because I had no choice.

I used a meditation video to do it

The thing I do is to focus on each part of my body like I visualize it in my head and while visualising let the part of my body relax

It’s Ok if you don’t totally relax, don’t put pressure on you

More you will do the exercice and more you will relax

If you don’t listen to a video while doing that you could put some relaxing music in the background

I could never make it a habit. But I know my late grandfather was possibly an advocate of it, because I saw him do it on his armchair.

I prefer tensing all the muscles in my body all at once and holding it for like 10 seconds and then relaxing everything. Sometimes I do it multiple times in a row. It helps me

This may sound odd. When asked to make an arm go floppy,I find it very difficult to do.
