I’m just curious about how common concussions are. I’ve had two from snowboarding accidents and three from horseback riding accidents and my final one was a freak accident while working in the local hospital. So six total. My last concussion I got caused me to develop POTS and I have suffered with the condition since 2022 now.
Concussions suck and they’re very scary. I’m at a section in my book where I am writing about another girl getting a concussion from a rock climbing accident.
As a kid lots. Hit my head or got hit in the head lots. In my early 20s was assaulted by two guys with many punches to the head and had headaches and saw stars for months afterwards. In 2022 just before I quit my job had my most severe head injury, fractured my skull: fainted due to invega arrhythmia and fell off my bike.
I think that I vaguely remember having an unintended meeting with a tree trunk while running around a corner as a kid. This innocent tree knocked myself right out and chipped a tooth in the process. Quite a masterstroke, even if I say so myself. I wonder was the tree hurt in the process, well, I think not.
