I have a high risk breast cancer consult with a specialist Dr tomorrow.
I don’t have breast cancer but they are going to help me with prevention.

Why are you at higher risk of breast cancer than anyone else? If you dont mind me asking.

Honestly I’m not sure. I am hoping to find out more tomorrow. I did my annual mammogram and they said that I should have the high risk consult. I just turned 42.

And my aunt had breast cancer. I think that risk factor is from that.

I have good news.
He did an exam and did the math and I’m not considered high risk! I still have to do yearly mammograms but I don’t mind.
But I’m so relieved.
