Whenever I want a okay paying job (like office work, an assistant of some kind etc) They think it’s a bad idea. I’m applying for a job as a camera sales man and my family seems to disapprove of it. I feel like they don’t want to see me succeed for some odd reason.

Not sure what their objections are, but one I would have for salesman at camera store is camera sales are at all time low. Might be hard to survive on commission from that. Although it could improve your photography career… but in terms of survival a guaranteed income job is better
