I feel really uncertain about IVF

The use of lots of synthetic hormones.

Another stranger human handling the first few cells of the baby.

The whole manual technique.

Potentially there might be risks.

The money.

What do you guys think about IVF versus sex?

Also its still kind of a new thing.

Higher chances of numerous babies in 1 go.

Which has its own risks too.

Sex is cheaper that’s for sure

It’s prohibitively expensive

Other than that I think it’s fine

If i get triplets imagine how tough thats gonna be.

For my pelvic muscles. For my belly skin. For my back.

Its definitely something to consider.

At the same time getting babyhood out the way all in one go is not the worst thing if in ur 40s.

@FreeLunch yea thats true lol.

Last year i had a dream that i had twins with my boyfriend.

That was a cool dream cos it also brought back early childhood memories.

N plus, the bebes seemed ok

They were super cute like my bf :rofl::rofl:

Our conversations are funny cos we completely accept 1 another

IVF is free in the UK, providing you meet criteria. So expense isn’t an issue.

Ive got many friends who went the IVF route and are very happy about it, and Im happy for them.

My personal view? Its not important in this case, so Ill abstain.

I really think it works well from what I’ve heard honestly

Most people who perform it know what they’re doing

I personally don’t think I’d ever get IVF.

I think it’s kind of weird, choosing which embryo is the “winner”

I’d kind of feel guilty…

I would rather have a child the natural way.

I don’t care if other people go that route, it’s just not for me.

I think ppl usually dont do it for the winner

I think its cos they have fertility problems, or dont like sex.

I might be wrong tho.

No idea.

Yes, I know… they offered for me to do IVF because of the PCOS/fertility issues.

I’m saying, normally, they make multiple embryos and test them to see if there’s any issues… then they either choose one for you to implant or you get to choose based off their findings…

At least that’s what they did with my brother and his girlfriend.

I have fertility issues if I ever wanted children (I didn’t get the birth control just letting it happen if it ever does) I’d probably have to do ivf my diabetes dr said there is almost no chance I’ll ever get pregnant naturally
