I have one tattoo already, some flowers on my abdomen. But I got that tattoo about 10 years ago. It wasn’t planned well and was done by an apprentice.
This time, I am seeing a really talented artist and I have put a lot of research into what I want. I want the artist to have creative freedom to make the tattoo in their style, but I did draw and color an “idea page” to help her understand kinda what I was envisioning. And it will be kinda large, covering most of my left arm.
Hell yeah, getting a new tattoo is always exciting! I have 17 tatts lol. I hope the consultation goes according to plan, and that you can get in for a session soon! Sometimes artists have a long waitlist.
I need a new artist, have an idea for a big one for my back, but I need to save up for it. I figure it most likely will run me at least $1000.
So, I had the consult. It was great! She’s so sweet. We talked for an hour, she took lots of notes, and she took a “cast” of my arm and mapped out where my wrist starts, where my elbow crease is, where I need to have bare skin for medical devices, and other stuff. Took some photos.
Her rates are REALLY high, but I kinda expected that, cause she is possibly the most talented artist in the area. She’s extremely talented and skilled.
Anyway, it was a great consult. I just need to save up some money…
