I was recently diagnosed with hypoglycemia

Does anyone on here have this condition? It’s not diabetic related. Just noticed my sugars drop randomly especially if I haven’t eaten in a while. Recently my glucose monitor said I was at 49 even though I had eaten 4 hours prior. My doctor encouraged me to try smaller more frequent meals and to make sure I’m having protein with carbs. Anyone with any experience with this?

Also for those who use a glucose meter how important is it to be using those alcohol swabs to clean the area? They’re kinda expensive to be using 4 times a day couldn’t I just buy rubbing alcohol and use a cotton swab or what about just washing my hands like usual?

Im not a doctor however are you on diabetes meds maybe thats why

Also ozempic and stuff like that is possible to make low blood sugar i think my brother is on ozempic for diabetes and it can lower blood sugar

I have it without diabetes

But pre diabetes

Not really sure what they do about it

Says this on my medical app but they only told us about the

My A1C is only 5.1 so I’m not in the prediabetic range

That’s good.

I had a school friend say they had this years ago and he thought he had to eat more to stop it getting out of control

Don’t know if that’s true or not

Yeah my doctor told me frequent small meals. It’s hard though cause I’m trying to lose weight

I am trying to get on monjaro med but they make it hard to get here

My argument is I have fought for years to control my weight

Don’t think it’s healthy to go up and down so dramatically

Best of luck to you @Joker i have a close friend who developed extreme side effects from Zepbound. Personally I will not try GLP1s due to The risks. But I will not put down anyone wanting to try it.

Best of luck to you as well

So hard to know what’s best sometimes
