Im 40 old years old loser

No not depressed depression isnt real

Idk what to do

The further your life is from what you value the greater your discontent. You have to either change your expectations of life or do something to try and get closer to what you want.

Seriously…I’m not being rude. I spent my wheels for ten years on wrong meds and stuck in my head. Med change , environment change and mindset made it like 20% better.

The point I’m making is if you don’t DO something to make it better it will stay the same. Thinking endlessly about the problem only makes it that much bigger. When you stop thinking and wallowing in your sadness I feel like the tension gets stronger and you eventually will act to improve your situation.

Bro you are not a fu cking looser. That’s an arbitrary value judgment. You are a person with issues like everyone. Ditch the co ruminating bro…

Btw …I still have major issues and suffering. But the teacher I follow says …don’t wait until you have no suffering to be happy. The moment you let go and step towards happiness…it comes right away

I’m 69. I struggle with feelings of failure. Criticise myself a lot for not being able to recover despite a lack of help and support.

I am also pushing those years like it feels unreal at times. There is an undercurrent of disappointment how life turned out, self blame even. But deep down there is a realization of having a severe mental illness nobody chooses to have. So it seems a bit odd to say you ā€œloseā€ in the face of frankly random world, fate and being born really. How come there is this random standard of winning anyway if everything is arbitrarily ā€œwonā€ or ā€œlostā€ in the end. May haps a nice dose of selfish pride surviving with this illness would be in order, a small dose of nihilism on the side against mainstream demands. But of course one can choose the poison of gamifying life. Turns out, in the end there are no promises, nothing is certain. You exist for a little while in this chaotic merry-go-around of life and that is all there is to it. So welcome to the world full of losers according to whom?
