Inviting my group home housemate mum and dad to dinner

They are lovely people and my new housemate is a lovely person, his mum told me I’m one off the reasons she wanted her son to move here because of me and how welcome I made them feel when I showed them around. They had a lot of anxiety about finding the right place, me and my housemate cook and eat together most nights, I do the main cooking and he stairs and cuts the veg because he’s less able. I was chatting with housemate and put it forward it would be nice to invite his parents for evening meal and we both cook, is this a good idea or too pushy?
