Looks like this forum is first result for schizophrenia forum searches on google

I often search for schizo forum to get here.

Just today it started showing as first result.

Prior to today the old forum had the first spot.

That’s good to hear. Now I just need women to stop reverse image, searching me and finding my selfies on the site revealing my illness and then dumping me LOL

I wish it would populate with searches like ā€œschizophrenia supportā€ and ā€œschizophrenia support groups ā€œ.

Please loop in @SzSupportAdmin via PM so he knows what is going on in case there is a pattern he need to be aware of. I don’t want to poke my nose into it, just make sure you know that he needs to know.

We are aware of what happened.

I don’t think it should be a big deal. And it’s pure speculation at this point so there’s that

Cool beans. Will PM you.

SImple solution is to only post selfies in Private members or dont post them at all anymore.

I agree. I already realized that

That’s pretty bad. I never post anything too personal that can be related back to me. I thought only images.google.com could reverse images, that site has protection for faces iirc. I’ve never seen another tool that does faces before.

It’s possible that I’m being paranoid and it’s something else happened to the relationship. But something happened. I don’t know if it’s possible

Serious kudos to @SzSupportAdmin and the whole team!!

And possibly also to us ā€˜crazy’ lot, if our collective online activities here in some way bumped up this site to the top (I’m sorry, I’m really not clued-in to how to improve a search engine appearance.)

(And advance apologies if anyone takes offence to being included in the ā€˜crazy’ category. Although I would actually venture to suggest that there isn’t a person alive who hasn’t grappled with some kind of mental health issue at some point in their lives.)

I don’t know if it is at all relevant to your situation, nor to anyone else on this forum.

For what it’s worth, and I appreciate that this may be in some ways challenging to think about, none of us are our diagnosis.

We also have no obligation - legal nor in many ways moral - to declare our diagnosis very early on. Neither in a dating scenario, nor any other. Particularly when any psychosis diagnosis carries such huge stigma in society.

At the end of the day, it is not our choice to have recieved this diagnosis - any more than it is the choice of someone with a metal implant, nor diabetes, nor any other multifactorial illness - to receive their diganosis and subsequent treatment.

Of course, repeatedly lying about such a diagnosis also isn’t a good way to build trust, either.

I’m just saying that I feel that there is a ā€˜middle-ground’ to be found in such a situation.

I’m very sorry @FreeLunch if this is completely unhelpful and irrelevant to your actual situation; I’m just also aware that there may be readers on this forum who are thinking about dating (or indeed looking for work), and are uncertain about how to go about these things.

I think you make a good point. I had no intention of lying to her. Had already mentioned some things about onset. I think that I would have told her relatively soon if she hadn’t broken it off with me

I should point out that the site is first on mobile searches

I checked on desktop and it’s not the first result

I just tested on a supposedly private search engine, Startpage.com, and there this forum is first. Whereas on Duckduckgo only the old forum is visible, this site is nowhere to be seen.
