I know some of the unrecognized/new members are not very active so we may not get a response out of them, but I’m wondering if any members found this forum via google or the schizophreniapeersupport.org website or if everyone is here from links on the old forum.
I was going to do a poll, but trust level 0 members cant vote in polls, so……
I clicked the link on old forum twice because didn’t bookmark it during first visit. Now I visit this forum from bookmark.
I tried finding it via a google search yesterday and couldn’t. But I’ve been using my bookmark from the old forum
try typing in “schizophrenia support forum”. It generally comes up in the first 2 results.
The website comes up well on “schizophrenia peer support website” or similar.
I used the same search I did to find the other forum years ago - schizophrenia support, and also schizophrenia support group. Those searches brought me to the old forum. I didn’t use discourse because I don’t think most people will use that search term

“schizophrenia forum” brings up 3rd as well. The key is to have “forum” in the search.
Or “schizophrenia forum”, 4th result.
But, Google says “schizophreniasupport.discourse.group was first indexed by Google in November 2018”

I went to Google.
I typed in "schizophrenia forum "
This site was the 5th result.
I suspect we’ll drop down the ratings once the old forum goes offline as it’s currently linking to this forum.
Somehow we need it to populate without the word forum. Not everyone will know it’s a forum or even to specifically look for a forum.
maybe a youtube channel could help? wild idea but heck even a few hundred views is a lot
